- Collaboration will see ICE Data Services Italy distribute Spectrum’s reference data
- Launching in Italy first, with other countries to follow
- Further enhances Spectrum’s plug-and-play infrastructure
Spectrum Markets (“Spectrum”) the pan-European trading venue for securitised derivatives announced today a collaboration with ICE Data Services Italy, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE), that will see Spectrum’s data provided to ICE Data Services Italy’s clients, as well as financial information and news websites.
The first phase of the collaboration will cover Spectrum’s reference data, with the potential for other data streams, like real-time market data, to follow.
The move further enhances Spectrum’s plug-and-play exchange infrastructure by offering an additional way to simplify connectivity for new members joining the venue, speeding up the onboarding process and reducing unnecessary costs.
ICE Data Services Italy collects, processes and standardises comprehensive, high-quality reference and business entity data, including corporate actions, risk analytics and taxation information, for several asset classes such as equities, listed and unlisted bonds, funds, derivatives and warrants/certificates. ICE Data Services Italy value-added services are available as a data-feed for back-middle office applications or via an online browser that enables clients to search, design reports and perform analyses.
The new data sharing collaboration will go live in Italy first, growing to include other regions across Europe in time. ICE Data Services Italy joins an ever-expanding ecosystem of data and connectivity partners working with Spectrum to improve member experience and accessibility, including: LIST and SIA (part of Nexi Group).
“Ever since we set out to offer a better way for retail investors to access markets, we’ve maintained a constant focus on enhancing and evolving our infrastructure and service offering, listening closely to what our customers want, and responding accordingly,” explains Nicky Maan, Spectrum Markets CEO.
“The collaboration with ICE Data Services Italy is the latest step in this continuing journey, and we are really pleased to be working with them to make it even easier for members to access our plug-and-play infrastructure.”
“We’re delighted to work with Spectrum Markets to help facilitate better access to its trading venue and its data, and at the same time we look forward to the potential of bringing more data to new audiences around Europe,” said Michele Giacomin, ICE Data Services’ Head of Southern Europe Market Development.
“As businesses of all types increasingly seek out more diverse and comprehensive sources of data and insight, incorporating Spectrum’s data into our offering is a real value-add when it comes to our ability to help customers remain competitive and take advantage of new and emerging opportunities.”
