Spectrum Markets hires Senior Marketing Manager for Southern Europe and France

Spectrum Markets, the pan-European trading venue for securitised derivatives, announced today the appointment of Melissa De Sanctis as Senior Marketing Manager for Southern Europe and France. Based in Milan, Melissa reports to the Head of Marketing Martina Hoffard, and will oversee marketing activities for Italy, Spain and France.

The appointment reflects Spectrum’s strong growth in these regions as its pan-European development strategy gains momentum, and its network of members and partner organisations continues to expand.

Alongside overseeing wider marketing efforts in Italy, Spain and France, Melissa will also take responsibility for all digital marketing activities across the whole of Spectrum’s business, leading a team of dedicated marketeers and agencies.

Melissa joins Spectrum from Borsa Italiana where, during a 16-year career, she first held the position of Business Development Manager for private investors and then took on the role of Senior Marketing Manager. During this time, she developed a range of business and marketing activities, including supporting the design and implementation of new products for IDEM, Borsa Italiana's market dedicated to derivatives trading. She also acted as coordinator to ensure the execution of strategic marketing plans to support sales and distribution activities.

"Melissa has a wealth of industry experience and highly relevant expertise, and I’m confident she will be a great asset to our business, helping to progress our near and long-term growth ambitions in Europe," comments Nicky Maan, CEO of Spectrum Markets. "We were impressed by her track record of combining strategic thinking with operational effectiveness and are very pleased to welcome her to our fast-growing team."

Melissa De Sanctis, says "Spectrum Markets is a true innovator in the European trading venue space and it is really exciting to be joining such an ambitious and future-focused firm at an important stage in its growth journey. We have big plans for what we want to achieve and I’m looking forward to getting started and supporting my colleagues as we welcome new members and partners in the weeks and months ahead."
